If you're a fan of HBO's new prohibition-based show, Boardwalk Empire, there are probably a few things that you can do to really immerse yourself in this time period while you sit on your couch and watch how a corrupt politician goes about his days in Atlantic City during the 1920s. Number one on our list, and our preferred option, is to drink some moonshine... yes, you heard us right, drink some moonshine.
Don't get us wrong, we're not cranking out some hooch out of our basement during our spare time and in between episodes. We prefer to defer to the experts - in this case Adam Perry Lang, a BBQ master and author of BBQ 25. As a whiskey connoisseur, Adam worked with master distillers to come up with Original Moonshine - an 80 proof clear corn whiskey made from 100% estate-grown corn (we assume a lot better than Green Giant canned corn) and distilled four times in a Prohibition-era copper pot still.
So before that next episode of Boardwalk Empire, make sure you check on Moonshine.com to find out where you can get a bottle of your very own Original Moonshine.
And in case you're curious about the moonshine/whiskey process, we'll let Luke Bryan help explain it... especially if you're wondering why your lady is feeling a little frisky:
